생명의 성령의 법

┃성령의 새로운 법┃1 ○ 그러므로 이제 그리스도 예수
안에 있는 자들에게는 결코 정죄함이 없나니, 그들은 육신을 따라 행하지
아니하고 성령을 따라 행하느니라. 2 이는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생명의 성령의
법이 죄와 사망의 법에서 나를 해방시켰기 때문이라. 3 율법이 육신을 통하여서는 연약하여 할 수 없는 것이므로
하나님께서 죄 때문에 자신의 아들을 죄 있는 육신의 모양으로 보내 그 육신에
죄를 선고하셨으니 4 이는 율법의 의가 우리 안에서
이루어지게 하려 함이라. 우리는 육신을 따라 행하지 않고 성령을 따라 행하는 자들이라.
┃성령과 육신의 갈등┃5 육신을 따르는 사람들은 육신의 일들을
생각하나 성령을 따르는 사람들은 성령의 일들을 생각하느니라. 6 육신적으로 생각하는 것은
사망이나 영적으로 생각하는 것은 생명과 화평이니라. 7 육신적인 생각은 하나님과 원수가 되나니 그것은 하나님의 법에 복종하지 않을 뿐만 아니라 실로
할 수도 없음이라. 8 그러므로 육신 안에 있는 자들은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없느니라. 9 그러나 하나님의 영이
너희 안에 거하시면 너희가 육신 안에 있지 아니하고 성령 안에 있나니 이제 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면 그의 사람이 아니니라. 10 ○ 만일 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면 몸은
죄로 인하여 죽은 것이나 성령은 의로 인한 생명이니라.
11 예수를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 분의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신
분이 너희 안에 거하시는 그분의 영으로
인하여 너희의 죽을 몸도 살리시리라. 12 그러므로 형제들아, 우리가 빚진 자들이나
육신에 진 것이 아니니 육신을 따라 살 것이 아니니라. 13 너희가 육신을 따라 살면 죽을 것이나 성령을 통하여 몸의 행실을 죽이면
살리라.
┃믿는 사람은 아들이요 상속자┃14 무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 이들은 곧 하나님의 아들들이니라. 15 너희는 다시 두려워하는
종의 영을 받지 아니하였고 양자 되는 영을 받았으므로 그에 따라 우리가 “아바, 아버지.”라 부르짖느니라. 16 성령이
친히 우리의 영과 함께 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 증거하시거니와
17 ○ 자녀이면 또한 상속자들이니
하나님의 상속자들이요, 그리스도와 함께한 공동 상속자들이니
우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받은 것은 함께 영광도 받게 하려 함이니라.
┃고통 중에 있는 피조물과 창조물┃18 이는 현재의 고난들이 우리에게 나타나게 될 영광에
감히 비교되지 못한다고 내가 여기기 때문이라. 19 피조물이 간절한 기대를 가지고 하나님의 아들들이 나타날 것을 기다리고 있으니 20 피조물이 허무한 데 굴복하는
것은 자의가 아니요, 오직 소망 가운데 그것들을 굴복케 하시는 그분
때문이며 21 피조물 자체도 그 썩어짐의
속박으로부터 해방되어 하나님의 자녀의 영광스러운 자유에
이를 것이기 때문이라. 22
모든 창조물이 이제까지 함께 신음하며 고통받는 것을 우리가 아노니
23 그들뿐만 아니라 성령의 첫열매들을 가진 우리까지도 속으로 신음하며
양자 되는 것, 곧 우리 몸의 구속을 기다리고 있느니라. 24 이는 우리가 소망에 의하여
구원을 받았음이나 보이는 소망은 소망이 아니라. 사람이 보는 것을
왜 바라리요? 25 그러나 만일 우리가 보지 못하는
것을 바란다면 인내로 기다릴지니라.
┃내주하시는
중보자 성령┃26 ○ 이와 같이 성령께서도
우리의 연약함을 도우시나니 이는 우리가 마땅히 기도해야 할 것을 알지
못하나 성령께서 친히 말할 수 없는 신음으로
우리를 위하여 중보하시기 때문이라. 27 마음을 살피시는 분이 성령의
생각이 무엇인지 아시나니 이는 그분이 하나님의
뜻대로 성도들을 위하여 중보하시기 때문이라.
┃복음을 통한 하나님의 확실한 목적┃28 우리가 알거니와 하나님을
사랑하는 자들, 곧 그분의 목적에 따라 부르심을 받은 자들에게는 모든
일이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라. 29 ○ 그분께서는 미리 아신 자들을 자기 아들의 형상과 일치하게 하시려고 또한 예정하셨으니
이는 그를 많은 형제 가운데서 첫태생이 되게 하려 하심이니라. 30 그리하여 예정하신 이들을 또한
부르시고 부르신 이들을 또한 의롭게 하시고 의롭게 하신 이들을 또한
영화롭게 하셨느니라. 31
○ 그렇다면 이런 일에 대하여 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요? 하나님께서 우리를 위하신다면 누가 우리를 대적하리요?
32 자기 아들을
아끼지 아니하시고 우리 모든 사람을 위하여 내어주신 분이 어찌 그
아들과 함께 또한 모든 것을 우리에게 값없이 주시지 아니하겠느냐?
33 하나님께서
택하신 자들에게 누가 혐의를 씌우리요? 의롭다 하시는 분은 하나님이시니라. 34 누가 정죄하리요? 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 분은 그리스도시라. 그분은 또한 하나님의 오른편에 계셔서 우리를 위하여 중보하시느니라.
┃믿는 사람의 구원의 보장┃35 누가 우리를 그리스도의 사랑에서 떼어 놓을 수 있으리요?
환난이나 곤경이나 박해나 기근이나 헐벗음이나 위험이나 칼이랴? 36 기록된 바와 같으니 “우리가
주를 위하여 온종일 죽임을 당하였으며 도살당할 양으로 여김을 받았나이다.”라고
하였느니라. 37 그러나 이 모든 일에서 우리를
사랑하시는 그분으로 말미암아 우리가 이기는 자들보다 더 나으니라. 38 내가 확신하노니 사망이나 생명이나, 천사들이나
정사들이나 권세들이나 현재의 일들이나 다가올 일들이나, 39 높음이나 깊음이나, 어떤
다른 피조물이라도 우리를 그리스도 예수 우리 주 안에 있는 하나님의 사랑에서 떼어 놓을 수 없으리라.

■ 1 ¶
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ
Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit
of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and
death. 3 For what the law could
not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own
Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin
in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled
in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
■ 5 For they that are after
the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit
the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually
minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against
God: for it is not subject
to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,
if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man
have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 ¶ And if Christ be
in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of
him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised
up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by
his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors,
not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye
shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify
the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit
of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit
of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 he Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God:
17 ¶ And if children, then
heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer
with him, that we may be also glorified together.
■ 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be
revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation
of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made
subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath
subjected the same in hope, 21
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage
of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole
creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but
ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we
ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit,
the redemption of our body. 24
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is
not hope: for what a man seeth, why
doth he yet hope for? 25
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait
for it.

26 ¶ Likewise the Spirit
also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is
the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints
according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that
love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 ¶ For whom he did foreknow,
he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate,
them he also called: and whom he called, them
he also justified: and whom he justified,
them he also glorified. 31
¶ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who
can be against us? 32 He that spared not his
own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with
him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth?
It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is
even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for
us.
■ 35 Who shall separate us from
the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution,
or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all
the day long; we are accounted as sheep
for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things
we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death,
nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
